Cannonball Fail

Among other things I had planned for last weekend, I wanted to test out some waterproof eye makeup. Earlier this summer, I subjected waterproof eyeliner and mascara to trial by ocean, but I wanted to see how it held up in the pool. I also wanted to try out another waterproof mascara that I heard was really great. I had two pool days planned, so it would all work out fine. Or so I thought.

Jet-lagging On The Updates!

You guys! I'm sorry I was gone so long. I've been back, but I've been suffering from a combination of jet-lag and post-vacation blues all week. My trip was amazing! Then Monday came along being A. Monday and B. devoid of all friends, food, and fun. It was so depressing! And then, it was like, raining? Blah! But I'm feeling better now, which might be partially due to the espresso machine I bought yesterday. I got hooked while we were in Switzerland, and my husband couldn't be more thrilled. He's wanted one for ages, but I wouldn't give up the counter space.

I'm going to PARIS! I'm going to Paris TODAY! I'm also going to SWITZERLAND! Wooo! I still haven't finished/started packing, but I have a pretty good idea of what I want to bring. The hard part, I think, will be fitting it all in my suitcase.

I'm going to try to do some quick posts, or at least pictures, while I'm away. If I can't get them to show up here, I should be able to get them up on the facebook page. And when I come back, perhaps I'll have some French or Swiss beauty tips for you!

Please don't try to burglarize me while I'm gone. My building has security cameras and my cat-sitters are much tougher than they sound.

I don’t know. At the moment I’m trying to pack, get the house together, do last minute grooming, and, oh yeah, decide what to wear to the wedding I'm going to on the way to my vacation.

Well, uh, rumor around town says you might be thinkin’ ‘bout goin’ down to the shore.

Uh, yeah, I think I’m gonna go down to the shore.
