She Sells Sea Shellac At The Sea Shore

I finally tried a gel manicure! Well, it was Shellac, but I think they are all basically the same thing. However, Shellac is 3-free! No formaldehyde, toluene or DBP. It was sort of a last minute decision before my trip. I figured it would be a great time to torture a "tough" manicure and see what it could hold up to.

Pack It Up, Pack It In…

I’m back! Sorry I haven’t posted anything earlier this week, but I had an unexpected and extraordinarily eventful long-weekend away from home. I’m still trying to catch up, but I wanted to tell you guys what happened, AND provide some useful packing tips.

Jet-lagging On The Updates!

You guys! I'm sorry I was gone so long. I've been back, but I've been suffering from a combination of jet-lag and post-vacation blues all week. My trip was amazing! Then Monday came along being A. Monday and B. devoid of all friends, food, and fun. It was so depressing! And then, it was like, raining? Blah! But I'm feeling better now, which might be partially due to the espresso machine I bought yesterday. I got hooked while we were in Switzerland, and my husband couldn't be more thrilled. He's wanted one for ages, but I wouldn't give up the counter space.

A Woman’s Intuition

When I was wrote about the Schick Quattro earlier this summer, I asked if anyone had tried the totally crazy-looking Schick Intuition. Indeed, someone piped up with a serious love for the thing, so I put it on my (imaginary) list of things to try.

Good Touch P-Touch

P-Touch, the vaguely dirty-sounding label maker, is one of my favorite things ever. While I’m not so much of a perfectionist that I use it for labeling my file folders, you should see what it can do with travel-size toiletries!

Fun Zip

One of the great things about writing this blog is that people come to me with stuff they are excited about, in case I want to write about it. I recently got a particularly funny tip from my physical therapist. Not funny because of the item, but funny because my physical therapist is a guy. A straight guy. And he was all “Have you seen the new bags from Sephora?” LOL. Of course, he didn’t discover them himself. His fiancé is a fellow beauty junkie, and she found them. Still, it was pretty funny. And it’s a good product! Resealable travel bags, in a super-fun print.
