Since I have yet to find an eye cream that will truly banish the dark circles under my eyes, and even my dermatologist doesn’t know of anything that REALLY works, I cover them. But sometimes, the magic of Touche Éclat is not enough. There is only so much light reflective properties can do for my dark circles, which are caused by a fascinating combination of heredity, insomnia, and maybe even allergies. Some days are worse than others, which is why I went looking for some extra help.

 The first and most painful lesion I learned about eyelash extensions is that they are highly addictive. From the moment I saw my eyes at the salon, I was in love with them. After about a week, I was so used to seeing them, I had a hard time believing they weren’t actually mine. I was attached. Very attached. As time went on, and the reality of the lashes falling out hit me, I started thinking of ways I could afford to keep going with this. I didn’t come up with anything.

A Nest For Birds, There Ain't No Words...

I recently cut about 7” off my hair due to boredom/laziness/new-year-new-you-fanaticism. I was also suspicious that my long straight hair was visually “pulling down my face.” I really like having it shorter, but at the same time, I haven’t exactly figured out how to manage my new ‘do yet.
