Naked 3 Tutorial!

Have you ever tried any of the eleventy-billion eye shadow tutorials on YouTube? I have. And while I’ve had success with some of them, and some of them are great, in my experience they are a huge pain in the butt to follow. Even when I did have that kind of time, I didn't have that kind of patience. You have to keep going back and watching again, listen to the chatter, rewind, blah blah blah, OMG I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT COLOR GOES IN THE CREASE!!!

But there is another way! I have enlisted professional makeup artist Sheri Stafford to do some tutorials for us! And what we did for OUR tutorial, is provide step-by-step instructions and close up photos. Photos that don’t move! So you can look at them and see what’s what. Sort of like a map of where the colors go. Or a very blendy paint-by-numbers.

Drop Pick Up The F-Bomb

I really can’t remember the last time red lipstick wasn’t a “top trend for fall.” I feel like every fashion mag says it every year, like it’s a new thing. It’s not a new thing, it’s kind of never been a new thing, but there is always a new red lipstick. And this year, for me, the new red lipstick isn’t even a lipstick at all. It’s a lip… stick.

You Say You Want A Revolution

I’ve never understood why eyelash curlers had to have those bars on the sides. Why couldn’t someone just make a hinge on the back, so we wouldn’t have to worry about getting our lashes pinched in the corners? Well, it took 80-ish years, but Urban Decay finally did it.

I Don't Like Mondays II

It’s been awhile since I complained about anything (to you, anyway) so I thought I’d tell you about few more things you don’t have to bother spending your money on. Unless, of course, you already have and love these things. In which case, good for you! For me, not so good.

I Don’t Like Mondays

If you’ve read much of this blog, you might think I always love everything, but that is definitely not true. In fact, it really takes a lot for me like something. That’s probably why I feel the need to share it with the world when I find good stuff. Since it’s Monday, and a good day to be grumbly, here are a few things that I tried and did not like.

Two Good Ways to Get Naked

My sister-in-law was describing her new favorite product. She said it was a collection of eye shadows in really pretty, really wearable colors. She loved it so much she had just bought another one to give to her sister. It was called Naked Eye or something. I said: The Naked Palette from Urban Decay? I LOVE THAT! She said: No, I don’t think it’s Urban Decay. I said: Is it in a velvet box? She said: No, but it’s called Naked something. I described my Naked palette in more detail, and she was sure hers was not the same one I was talking about. Eventually, she retrieved it from her purse and settled it. This was something I had not seen or tried… yet.
